This page presents the current set of rules that are applicable to the different positions in the Technical Programme Committee (TPC) of DATE.

Regular Topic Committee Members

• Member of at most one topic committee
• Excluded: GC, PC, Track Chairs
• 20% variation needed from prev. year (5-year term)
• No PhD students
• Can submit papers in own Topic (Conflict of Interest (COI))

Topic Chairs / Co-Chairs

• Member of at most one topic
• Excluded: GC, PC, Track Chairs
• Maximum term: 3 years if Co-Chair never Chair, can stay on fourth year as Chair
• No PhD students
• Can submit papers in own Topic (COI)
• Cannot be re-appointed in 3 years

Track Chairs

• Maximum term: 3 years
• Member of Best Paper Award (BPA) Committee
• Can submit papers in own Track (COI)
• Not eligible for BPA
• Cannot be re-appointed in 3 years

Review Chair

• Maximum term of service: three years
• Can submit papers

TPC Chair

• Maximum term of service: 1 year
• Member of BPA committee
• Cannot submit papers
• No Chair role after (only TPC member)
