Printer-friendly versionPDF version

DATE, the Design, Automation and Test Conference and Exhibition is the unique European event bringing together researchers together researchers, users and vendors as well as specialists in design, test and manufacturing of electronic circuits and systems. The University Booth is part of the DATE program. It is sponsored by the DATE Sponsor Society, by the European Design and Automation Association, the EDA Consortium, the IEEE Computer Society – TTTC and CEDA, ECSI, ACM SIGDA, and RAS.

Universities and public research institutes are invited to demonstrate their hardware platforms, prototypes, tools and pre-commercial results. Being hosted by the largest electronic system design and test conference in Europe, the University Booth offers a unique chance to show your prototypes to both academia and industry during the exhibition. Outstanding demonstrations from R&D projects are welcomed. The University Booth is a separate booth in the exhibition area.

The software prototypes will be demonstrated on a desk with your own laptop and other equipment. Each presenter is liable for their software resources that are necessary to illustrate the functionality.

Hardware prototypes and platforms will be demonstrated on a desk with your laptop or other equipment. Hardware can be illustrated within a working environment. Stand alone circuits will not be exhibited. Participants are liable for their equipment. Each exhibitor is responsible for bringing and installing the hardware and software resources necessary for showing the entire functionality of the circuit.

Demonstrations will be clustered in four technical topics with parallel presentations. This gives the visitors the opportunity to see several demonstrations within a short period of time. The four topics are:

  • EDA for System Level Design
  • Hardware Design / Electronic Design Automation
  • Robust Design and Yield
  • Working Silicon Hardware Prototypes and Applications

Further information for the Demonstration

Each demonstration will have at least one time slot of 2 hours. On request, individual time slots can be booked for more demonstrations. Demonstrations have to be accompanied by an one-page description which will be published and distributed to all conference participants. You can use a PDF version of your poster for example. Any further information material is welcome that can be placed for the visitors during the exhibition.

Each demonstration will be supported by at least one poster (not larger than 0.9m width by 1.4m height; A0 Format) and by other media. Please use also images of the presented tool, circuit or hardware with its working environment to illustrate the functionality. For hardware demonstrations the poster should contain a plot of the circuit.

Walls, carpet, table furniture etc. will be prepared. There will be about 8 desks for the demonstrations. Please inform us, if you need other equipment, like additional tables or a permanent internet access. If you like to use video projectors, please inform the organizers.
